Houston hero Slim Thug has been handling things in H-Town for some time now, churning out new music at a feverish pace, first with the legendary Swishahouse label, then branching off into his own company. In 2007 he officially introduced his new crew/label Boss Hogg Outlawz, with release of the Serve and Collect album, followed up with Back By Blockular Demand the next year. J-Dawg is a big part of the squad, and gets even more shine on this seven-track EP that also features familiar collaborators such as Z-Ro ("Gangsta") and Lil Keke ("100’s On Top"). Slim's distinctive voice and charismatic vibe goes a long way here.
